BUFFALO GROVE — The Buffalo Grove High School pom-pon team invites local girls to its annual Bisonette Poms Kiddie Dance Camp, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2 in the school cafeteria, 1100 W. Dundee Road.
The camp is open to girls up to fifth grade, and no experience or special skills are needed. Campers will receive more than two hours of practice with dance training and conditioning, and will learn palms routines.
Immediately following the camp, participants will perform with the BGHS Poms in the school’s main gym during halftime of the home varsity basketball game.
The cost is $25 for the first child in the family and $20 for each additional child, through Jan. 25. Late registration increases the fee $5 for each child. The fee also includes admission to the basketball game (family admission not included).
This year, registration will be online only. The theme for this year’s camp is “Luau.” Campers will receive a Luau T-shirt, pom-pons, name tag, a light snack and a Luau flower necklace.
Parents may register their daughters online by emailing the palms head coach at christina.govert@d214.org for a link to the online registration form. Questions may also be sent to her.
