Foundation holding Thanksgiving auction

BUFFALO GROVE

Many of the first big sales of the 2012 holiday shopping season start at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

But before the shopping madness begins, families who have students at Buffalo Grove High School may consider looking at the District 214 Community Education Foundation’s online auction.

The auction will be held on eBay, and can be accessed through the foundation’s website, www.ce214.org.

Items for bid include several wine tastings, autographed paraphernalia from the Chicago Blackhawks and Justin Bieber, the chance to play a walk-on role on the Metropolis stage during this year’s production of “A Christmas Carol” and more.

The proceeds will benefit the foundation’s English as a Second Language for Adults program, culturlal and arts events, Kids on Track and more.
