BUFFALO GROVE — The list of police reports against former Village Trustee Lisa Stone grew longer this week.
On Jan. 15, a customer at the Buffalo Restaurant, 1180 W. Lake-Cook Road, called police to report an intoxicated woman disturbing her group. The caller, according to a police report, claimed the woman was Stone.
“She was allegedly harassing customers and going into the kitchen with two other subjects,” the report states. “Ms. Stone and her acquaintances had left just before we arrived.”
Officers said they spoke with customers and the restaurant’s manager, who both reported that Stone and her two friends walked into the kitchen.
“She also was heard to be saying, ‘It’s OK. I’m friends with Joe Biden and Katie Couric,’” the report reads.
On Tuesday, Stone confirmed that she was at the Buffalo on Jan. 15, and did greet two employees in the kitchen. She was adamant that she was sober, however.
“I don’t drink,” Stone said. “No way. I mean, a glass or two.”
Stone, the former trustee who voters recalled from office in November of 2010, also drew the ire of Village President Jeff Braiman two weeks ago.
He called police after Stone allegedly called his house at 2:30 a.m., and told officers that he felt his long-running dispute with Stone was “escalating.”
