BG Fire Department’s ‘Everyday Hero’ blood drive set for Friday

BUFFALO GROVE — The Buffalo Grove Fire Department will hold a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday (Dec. 21) at its station, 1051 Highland Grove Drive.

The effort is part of the combined Lake County fire departments’ Everyday Hero program, which donates blood to LifeSource, Chicagoland’s blood center. LifeSource collects about 500,000 donations annually, but giving is usually down during the holidays.
