BUFFALO GROVE — Four Buffalo Grove elementary school students received a special lift to school last week — they were picked up and escorted to school by fire trucks.
On Nov. 27, firefighters hauled third-grader Hailey Mulvihill and her first-grade brother Carson to Ivy Hall Elementary. The next morning, they picked up fifth-grader Adam Noodleman and his friend Jason Rutman, taking both to Meridian Middle School.
The kids were recipients of the Fire Department’s Golden Tickets. On Halloween, firefighters went around Buffalo Grove, handing out 1,000 goodie bags to trick-or-treaters. There were Golden Tickets inside five of those bags, redeemable for rides to school on trucks.
