Buffalo Grove police blotter for Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BURGLARY

John Murray, 20, of the first block of Mark Drive, Hawthorn Woods; and James T. Stewart, 20, of the first block of Carlisle Road, Hawthorn Woods; were arrested Oct. 30 on the 1500 block of North Brandywyn Court. Police charged both with two counts of felony burglary, as well as underage possession and consumption of alcohol. The pair also are suspected of committing another burglary on the 600 block of Lyon Court and attempting a third on the 500 block of LaSalle Lane.

Cash, a safe, jewelry, a television and a video game system were reported stolen from a house Oct. 30 on the first block of Carlyle Lane.

A navigation system was stolen between Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 from an unlocked car on the 500 block of Lyon Drive.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Graffiti was spray-painted on the pathway in Cherbourg Park, 815 Marseilles Circle, sometime between Oct. 26 and Oct. 31.

A car was scratched Oct. 29 on the 700 block of Grove Drive.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Francisco Hernandez, 47, of the first block of Oak Creek Drive, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Nov. 4 at the intersection of Dundee Road and Oak Creek Drive and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and transportation of an open container of alcohol. He also was cited for illegal lane use. His court information was not available.

DRUGS

Marnie Nicole Brooks, 25, of the 500 block of Manda Lane, Wheeling, was arrested Nov. 1 at the intersection of Dundee Road and Golfview Terrace and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. At the same stop, Alissa Sammi Brooks, 29, of the same address, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and also was cited for speeding.

Daniel Mark Smith, 21, of the 10300 block of Wilmette Avenue, Algonquin, was arrested Nov. 2 at the interchange of Lake-Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for speeding and having no license or insurance.

THEFT

A woman left her Hydrocodone medication Oct. 30 inside a business on the 1100 block of West Lake-Cook Road, then could not find it when she went back for it.

A man left $800 worth of golf clubs in a $200 bag unattended from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30 outside the Arboretum Club clubhouse, then discovered that they were gone.
