Police Blotter for Aug. 13

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Buffalo Grove police department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BURGLARY
A thief entered an unlocked car Aug. 2 on the first block of Willow Parkway, stealing cash and prescription medication. Someone opened an unlocked car Aug. 12 on the 100 block of Toulon Drive and stole 10 Disney on Ice tickets from the purse inside. Someone entered an unlocked car Aug. 13 on Katherine Court, stealing a $300 iPod inside.
Someone damaged a mailbox Aug. 9 on the 100 block of Golfview Terrace. Jennifer Lee Miramonti, 25, of the 1400 block of East Olive, Palatine, was arrested Aug. 9 on the 300 block of North McHenry Road and charged with criminal damage to property.
PRACTICE
On June 7, a customer at a business on the 300 block of West Half Day Road paid for a service with a check from a closed account. When the business owner pursued payment, the police found that the customer had moved to New York City.
DUI
Sheila R. Clark, 51, of the 1000 block of Courtland Drive, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Aug. 12 at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Strathmore Court and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.
FOUND PROPERTY
A resident turned in a brown American Eagle wallet found Aug. 9 on the sidewalk at the intersection of Crofton Lane and Greenridge Road, containing a Florida learner’s license.

Schaumburg police reported Aug. 12 that three suspects in a black limousine had just committed an armed robbery in their city. Buffalo Grove police spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Betty Drive and Dundee Road, pulled it over, arrested the suspects and turned them over to the Illinois State Highway Patrol.
SUSPICIOUS
INCIDENT
On Aug. 6, a res ident of the 2400 block of Madiera Lane, who happens to own a video game system, found a letter taped to his front door; the letter gave directions for resetting the password and other options for his system. The next day, the resident saw a man near his house, but the man drove away; the resident then found another letter taped to his door. On Aug. 10, a resident of the 2400 block of Madiera Lane found a letter taped to his front door that referred to a PlayStation 3 group and the members of his family. THEFT
A man stole several bottles of alcohol Aug. 9 from Dominick’s, 1160 W. Lake Cook Road. A woman left her purse behind her in a shopping cart Aug. 10 at Jewel, 79 N. McHenry Road; when she turned around, a thief had relieved her of cash and her credit and Someone stole prescription medications Aug. 10 from a woman’s purse on the first block of Columbus Parkway. WARRANT ARREST
Robert Clayton Muller, 30, of the 1600 block of North Yale, Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 12 at the intersection of Dundee Road and Betty Drive for a Cook County arrest warrant.
