Alex Vikartofsky, one of the top pitchers in Stevenson High School softball history, has been chosen to lead the program. She replaces her former coach, Larry Friedrichs, who finished his 27-year SHS career with a record of 515-379-4.
The athletics group, comprised of 14 Lake County high schools, is currently split into two seven-team divisions — Lake and Prairie.
