Police Blotter: Wheeling woman, 19, charged with illegal possession of marijuana

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Buffalo Grove

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Someone used a pellet gun Aug. 6 to break the window of a house on the 400 block of Woodbury.

Pellet gunners also damaged trim on a house on the 1200 block of Millcreek on Aug. 8.

Someone knocked down a mailbox and post Aug. 8 on the 1000 block of Whitehall.

Vandals scratched a car’s paint Aug. 8 on the 2400 block of Millcreek.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Daniel H. Lim, 24, of the first block of Copperwood, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Aug. 8 at the intersection of Lake Cook and Northgate and charged with driving under the influence and speeding.

Vaibhav Kshatri, 28, of the 1600 block of Sheldrake, Wheeling, was arrested Aug. 8 at the intersection of Buffalo Grove and Bernard and charged with DUI, speeding and a headlights violation.

Andres Teran, 53, of the 3300 block of Chatham, Waukegan, was arrested Aug. 10 at the intersection of Lake Cook and Northgate and charged with DUI, driving without insurance and speeding.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

Cindy Mena, 19, of the 1200 block of Roth, Wheeling, was arrested Aug. 9 at the intersection of Arlington Heights and Lake Cook roads and charged with illegal possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

THEFT

A man ran behind the counter of a store Aug. 9 on the 1100 block of Weiland Road, stealing cigarettes and fleeing.

TRESPASSING

The owner of a vacant house on the 1100 block of Bernard Drive discovered Aug. 12 that someone has been sneaking in through an unlocked door. The trespasser has not damaged anything, but left items behind.
