BUFFALO GROVE — More than 500 revelers visited Buffalo Grove’s Hanukkah Family Funland this holiday season.
“We had a lot of kids coming from the city,” said Rabbi Eliezer Grunberg, who helped organize the events. “The kids that come have a really good time. It’s just packed with different games and activities.”
Families, student groups and congregations also came from Skokie, Northbrook, Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood and elsewhere for the second annual Funland.
Held at Buffalo Grove Town Center, the activity is a fund-raiser for the Suburban Alliance for Jewish Education — and Grunberg told visitors to be prepared for a third edition in 2013, though they might need a larger location.
“We hope to continue doing it, and growing it,” Grunberg said. “People find out about it year by year,”
