Buffalo Grove police blotter for Nov. 20 - 26, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BATTERY
Frank C. Walsh, 53, of the 600 block of LeParc Circle, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Nov. 21 at his residence and charged with domestic battery.
Gabriela Amalia Carrillo, 33, of the 200 block of Armstrong Drive, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Nov. 19 at her home and charged with domestic battery.
BURGLARY
A purse containing $200 in cash and a credit card were stolen from a vehicle Nov. 23 on the 600 block of Deerfield Parkway. A window was smashed to gain entry.
A driver’s license was stolen from an unlocked vehicle Nov. 24 on the 1100 block of West Lake-Cook Road.
A bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey and $50 was stolen Nov. 24 from a residence on Brucewood Court.
A debit card and an iPod were stolen Nov. 25 from an unlocked car on the 700 block of Thompson Boulevard.
A pair of $350 binoculars were stolen Nov. 25 from an unlocked car on the 400 block of Ronnie Drive.
A bag of body-healing crystals valued at $375 were stolen from a car Nov. 20 on the 300 block of North McHenry Road.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Three mailboxes were damaged Nov. 23 on the 2300 block of Crabapple Terrace.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Ulises Oliva, 43, of the 18600 block of West Lovers Lane, Grayslake, was arrested Nov. 23 on the 500 block of West Dundee Road and charged with driving under the influence. Oliva also was cited for speeding, having no lights when required and transporting an open container of alcohol.
LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
Enrique Herrera, 36, of the 400 block of South Hickory Street, Mundelein, was arrested Nov. 20 on the 100 block of McHenry Road and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. He also was cited for driving without insurance and running a red light.
THEFT
A purse containing $200 in cash and $200 in gift cards was left unattended Nov. 21 in a business on the first block of North McHenry Road. When she returned, it was gone.
An iPhone was left unattended Nov. 22 at a party on the 1100 block of Franklin Lane, and it was later stolen.
Security cameras at a business on the 700 block of South Buffalo Grove Road recorded a man pulling a quick-change scam Nov. 26. According to the police report, the man got away with $250.
TRESPASS
Two unlocked cars were entered Nov. 25 on the 900 block of Chaucer Way, but nothing was reported stolen.
VANDALISM
A building was spray-painted Nov. 26 on the 1000 block of Johnson Drive.
