Buffalo Grove holds National Night Out at Willow Stream

The Buffalo Grove Park District presents a National Night Out celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The event, part of a national celebration honoring police and fire services, will be held at Willow Stream Park South, 651 Old Checker Road,

The event starts with a Business Expo from 5 to 7 p.m., with music by REWIND 100.3

From 5 to 7:30 p.m. the Picnic in the Park there features displays from the fire and police departments of Buffalo Grove, games and free giveaways. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be offered until they run out.

The Neverly Brothers will perform from 6 to 8 p.m.

Police encourage people to donate nonperishable foods at their Police Challenge trailer. All items collected will be distributed through local food pantries supported by the Northwest Suburban Interfailth Council.
